The Dearborn Historical Museum and Preservation Dearborn invite you to participate in our Historic Walking Tours of Dearborn.
Learn about different historic buildings and landscapes in different neighborhoods across the city.
In 2026, walking tours will be happening July 11th and September 12th. (Check back for more details on the September 12th tour.)
Our July 11th tour will focus on Downtown West Dearborn starting at 10AM. Learn about Downtown West Dearborn’s architecture and history with a tour led by Ian Tomashik of Preservation Dearborn, and Mason Christensen, of the Dearborn Historical Museum.
Originally the center of the old village of Dearborn, this area centered on Michigan Avenue is home to some of the oldest and most popular buildings in the area. Along the tour, participants will learn about the early history of the city and how the community evolved over time. Toward Howard and Military streets, participants will learn how a number of successful and failed urban renewal projects led to the development of the Dearborn Peace Park and other shopping areas.
You can buy tickets for all our tours by visiting the Dearborn Historical Museum's Events page. Tickets for the September walking tour will be available on the Museum's Events page closer to the scheduled date.
